ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars Key West Christmas is a standalone by Barbara McMahon and as always another great read! Beau and Shelly were boss and assistant in New York until Beau decided to sell his company and sail into the sunset. Now tome has passed and he is drawn to Key West where Shelly settled after moving from New York. Sparks fly, feelings are revealed, second chances, opening your heart, a Christmas time romance!!

This story is a sweet, clean novella taking place in sunny Key West. Over a year ago, Shelly Alexander was the PA for a very wealthy man in NYC. When he announced he was leaving his company and sailing for a while, Shelly decided to leave the city and find a job she loved and found it in a Key West resort. She never expected that her former boss, Beau Charlmers would show up at the resort where she worked. Delighted to spend time together, the relationship moves from boss and employee, to friends. Could it be more? It seems it could but what happens when Shelly wonders what is the real reason Beau is in Key West? The story was enjoyable, but as frequently happens with novellas, the plot suffered and the last chapter felt rushed. That said, it was perfect for an afternoon of leisure. For me it was more of a 3.5 stars, but I have great respect for the author and the dedication the profession requires and will give it 4 stars. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Shelley nine years with her boss, Beau traveled the world with him on business He seemed to young to retired at forty Key West as a concierge, wearing sarongs Instead of the cold, and tailored suits for her Loneliness and true friendship was missing Seeing Shelley once again they were gone He offers her time to get to know one another Is Shelley open for this, or does she have other plans A heart warming story of working together and getting and knowing the real person Delighted to have read.
